eSIM Installation Guide

Follow these step-by-step instructions to install and activate your Roaming2 eSIM.

Before You Begin

  • 1Your phone supports eSIM (iPhone XS or newer / most Android flagship models)
  • 2Your phone is unlocked (not carrier-locked).
  • 3You need a Wi-Fi or cellular data connection during installation.
  • 4An eSIM cannot be transferred to another phone once installed, so please install it on the right device.

iOS (iPhone)

Installation methods for iPhone XS and newer

One-Click Install Link Fastest

  1. Open the purchase confirmation email on your iPhone (requires iOS 17.4 or later).
  2. Tap the "Install on iPhone" button - it will automatically open the eSIM installation screen.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts, tap "Continue" to complete activation. We recommend renaming the eSIM to "Travel SIM" for easy identification.
  4. Set your eSIM as the mobile data line: Settings > Cellular / Mobile Data > Cellular Data > select Travel SIM.

One-click installation requires iOS 17.4 or later. If your device doesn't support it, use the QR Code method below.

QR Code Scan

  1. Open Settings > Cellular / Mobile Data.
  2. Tap "Add eSIM" > "Use QR Code".
  3. Scan the QR Code from your purchase confirmation email. Open the email on another device, then scan with your iPhone.
  4. Follow the prompts to complete installation.

Manual Entry

  1. Open Settings > Cellular / Mobile Data > Add eSIM.
  2. Select "Enter Details Manually".
  3. Enter the SM-DP+ address and activation code from your confirmation email.
  4. Confirm to complete installation.

Android

Installation methods for Samsung, Pixel, and other Android devices

One-Click Install Link Fastest

  1. Open the purchase confirmation email on your Android phone.
  2. Tap the "Install Now" button - it will automatically open the eSIM installation screen.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation, usually 2 to 3 steps.

Some Android devices (such as Xiaomi) do not support one-click redirection. Please use the QR Code or manual method instead.

QR Code Scan Samsung / Pixel

  1. Samsung: Settings > Connections > SIM Card Manager > Add Mobile Plan.
  2. Pixel: Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs > Add SIM.
  3. Scan the QR Code from your confirmation email. Open the email on another device, then scan with this phone.
  4. Confirm to complete installation.

Manual LPA Code Entry Xiaomi / Other

  1. Xiaomi: Settings > SIM Cards & Mobile Networks > Add eSIM.
  2. Select "Manual Entry" or "Enter Activation Code".
  3. Copy and paste the full LPA code. The full code format is: LPA:1-eu.simlessly.com
  4. Confirm and complete installation.

After installation, go to Settings > SIM cards to verify the eSIM is enabled and turn on data roaming. You'll get online once you arrive at your destination.

In most cases, the APN is set automatically. If you still can't connect after arriving, refer to the APN field in your purchase confirmation email and enter it manually.
